Malachi: I seldom consider Scripture addresses. When in the NT, all OT citations are made, but with one exception, without reference to chapter and verse. That was at a time before the chapters and verses were added (for convenience). All of that only to tell you the opening verses are so beautifully rendered in Handel’s Messiah verbatim (from the KJV). These verses generally are applied in advent to prepare for the Lord’s Nativity. Next, Micah talks of judgment and then the distasteful subject of tithing and its great rewards.
