Psalm: 18

Meditation

Acts: We can easily glean from a look at this passage, the thrust of the accusations, whatever the excuses laid before Felix, is the issue of the resurrection (see Monday’s meditation). You will note that the prosecutor was Ananias, former high priest, who leveled charges against Paul. Ananias, as a priest would not hold to such a doctrine, which then classifies him as a Sadducee. The doctrine of the resurrection is the lynchpin of our faith; it is Paul’s first choice of weapon.

Gospel:

Luke 7:36-50

New Testament:

Acts 24:1-23

Old Testament:

Micah 3:1-8
