Micah: The accusation Micah brings here is quite similar to the attitude of ever-so-many Christians: “We’re all set!” Nice idea but a false one. Our conversion is something we have to re-visit every day; we need a reminder of just how essential God is to us. Well, there is work to do: “…beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks.” (v. 3) The gift of God may be free, but the ride is not. We may not be much better believers as was Micah’s audience.
