Meditation

Job: In chapter 1 we saw that Job was assailed by Satan of all he had, family and all (with the notable exception of his wife). The LORD had now granted Satan permission to touch Job’s physical body but was not permitted to kill him. Thus, the boils from head to toe. I don’t think anyone can read these two chapters without thinking that God is gambling with Job’s life. Job has no idea what and why all this is happening and now three of his friends join him as he mourns his loss.
