Psalm: 94
Meditation
Judges: Samson was a remarkable man. At his birth, his mother may have dedicated him to a life-long vow of a Nazarite (though the Scripture does not specifically state this). There is nothing remotely similar between Samson and any Nazarite except for his long locks (hair). He possessed superhuman strength; “the Spirit of the LORD began to stir him.” The opening lines underscore the man’s prowess. Samson may not be considered a law-keeper at all. His desire was for foreign women, forbidden by Jewish law. He was remarkably unaware, or had no insight concerning Delilah!
