Psalm: 26

Meditation

Acts: John and Peter would go to the Temple at the time of prayer (about 3 in the afternoon). As they walked on, a paralytic lay near the “Beautiful Gate” asking alms of the passersby. Peter caught the man’s eye and told him that he and John had no gold and then proceeded to tell him, in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, to get up and walk. Well, the man didn’t walk but rather leapt for joy for he had been infirmed his whole life. Verse 11 tells us he clung to Peter and John, which I understand to mean, held fast to them, strongly suggesting he later became a believer.

Gospel:

John 1:19-28

New Testament:

Acts 3:1-11

Old Testament:

Judges 7:1-18
