Psalms: 36, 46

Meditation

Acts: It is the day of Pentecost (50 days after Passover/Easter); the Apostles and about 108 others are gathered in the upper room when suddenly a mighty rushing wind comes upon them, also tongues of fire resting on their heads. Without saying a word, the Holy Spirit Himself, comes upon them and fills them with His Spirit. Here it is 9:00 in the morning and strange things are happening. Peter assures the gathered crowds outside, that these men are not drunk. He the n delivers a sermon quoting, among others, David’s psalms, exactly what Jesus quoted regarding the Messiah. (Matt. 22:41-46)

Gospel:

Matthew 28:11-20

New Testament:

Acts 2:22-36
