Psalms: 41, 42

Meditation

Deuteronomy: Deuteronomy is a re-telling of the Law and major events the Hebrews faced as they wandered through the wilderness. I can look at this passage and think, “My why short memories these people had.” Faced with overwhelming odds, these Hebrews crumbled toward cowardice. Consider what wonders the LORD did in Egypt to free these people. Their attitude” Yeah, but that was yesterday. What are You going to do for us (me) today?” I get why God might become angry; I’m still surprised by the mercy and patience extended to me.

Gospel:

Matthew 24:1-14

New Testament:

Romans 9:19-33

Old Testament:

Deut. 3:18-28
