Psalm: 25

Meditation

Joshua: “Be strong and courageous” is commanded to Joshua (Hebrew for Jesus [meaning savior]) and the final command to be courageous came from the people who declared that anyone who would obey Joshua would be put to death. Coincidently, at the Panera Group earlier today (5/24), it was pointed out that Joshua had very big shoes to fill. Moses’ shadow might intimidate anyone who sought to assume such an undertaking. Shortly before he died, Moses had designated Joshua as his successor before all Israel. God’s stamp of approval came in chapter 1 of Joshua.

Gospel:

Mark 1:21-27

New Testament:

Acts 21:3-15
