Psalm: 50

Meditation

Acts: Be careful of your words – they have meaning. Exorcism was not at all uncommon in ancient times. In this case the 7 sons of Sceva apparently had witnessed an exorcism done in Jesus’ name. They took it upon themselves to cast out demons in Jesus’ name but with a very different result, certainly not what they were expecting. These sons of Sceva connected with the demons such that the demoniac, not freed from his own demons, rather leaped on all 7, beat them up and gave them what for. Demons are not to be trifled with.
