Numbers: This is a account of what will become an unfortunate story. Remember that these spies (there were 12 of them) were in Egypt and saw the judgment of God fall hard upon the Egyptians and later in the devastation of the golden calf but also how the LORD provided the people first with manna (a bread-like food) and quail, enough so that would come out of their nostrils, and, of course, water from the Rock. Short memories, yet everyday the people had the visible of the LORD’s presence in the fire over the Tent of Meeting. What more will it take?
