Psalms: 87, 93

Meditation Romans: In this passage we are introduced to what became known as the doctrine of “Original Sin”. By this it becomes apparent that after Adam sinned then and there was the “birth” of death. It was not the eating of the forbidden fruit itself that was the sin, but rather, Adam’s rebellious heart manifested in the biting into the fruit which became a declaration of war “so death spread to all because all have sinned” (v. 12). “…Adam, who is a type of the one who was to come.” (v. 4) Consider now the undoing (or the fix) Jesus’ free gift (of the one) abounds to the many.” (v. 15)

Gospel: Matthew 20:29-34

New Testament: Romans 5:12-21

Old Testament: Numbers 20:1-13
