Meditation Ecclesiastes: Verses 1-8 are fairly familiar – the older one is the more familiar these words are. These verses
were central to a song put out by The Byrds in1965 – see what I mean about more clarity with age (certainly in this case)? The title of the song was Turn, Turn, Turn. Simply put, these 8 verses reflect the seasons of life according to the “Teacher” (or Preacher) life is fleeting, transitory. Things don’t last and neither do we. The one constant though is that God is there from before the beginning until long after the end.
