Psalm: 25

Meditation – Luke: This passage begins with a phrase Jesus uses frequently: “Do not be afraid…” (v. 32) Spoken by anyone else, I might conclude the quote taken out of context. As it happens, in the previous section in Luke, Jesus lists various diurnal concerns which are not worthy of fear (or worry). Jesus conquered death…death and He has promised that victory to all who believe in Him. If Covid-19 has taught us anything is that fear is both contagious and crippling. Take Jesus’ words to heart: “Do not be afraid…”

Gospel: Luke 12:32-40

New Testament: Acts 10:9-23
