Psalm 71

Meditation: Genesis – Much of Sarah’s life foreshadows the troubles of the early Israelites. God changed her name as a symbol of their covenant, she became a slave of the Pharaoh in Egypt, and was freed from Egypt through a series of plagues. Finally, upon her death, Abraham took possession of a piece of land in Canaan, the very land that God had promised to the children of Israel.
