Meditation: Hebrews – As adopted children of God, we are able to claim an inheritance of eternal life in the Kingdom of Heaven. The writer of Hebrews draws a comparison to Esau and his inheritance. Esau gave up his rights as first-born son for temporary pleasure and was unable to reclaim his inheritance. In the same way, we must be careful that we do not give away our own inheritance for worldly pleasures as Esau did.
