Zephaniah: Zephaniah preached to Judah during the reign of righteous King Josiah. He spoke to warn them of coming judgment – not unlike the judgment brought upon the Northern Kingdom (Israel). He told them of the “day of the LORD” which was brought upon Judah for worshipping false gods. This final chapter speaks of God’s mission to restore Judah and to recall all the Jews home from Babylon.
