Zechariah: Cyrus, the Persian king, issued a decree in 538 B.C. allowing any and all Jews to return to Jerusalem. They had been led captive some 50+ before while Jeremiah was prophesying telling those Jews to settle in Babylon and to build houses and families and communities. Some of them became quite noteworthy – Daniel, for one. He was carried off as a young boy and lived to see the return of the Jews to their beloved Jerusalem.
