Revelation: the imagery of this scene has so many parallels. The twelve stars immediately reminds me of Joseph’s vision explained to his brothers. He was raised to greatness in Egypt in order to save his people. The birth of the baby can make one think of Moses; the enormous red dragon would be Pharaoh of Egypt who ordered all Hebrew male children be drowned in the Nile. Moses was snatched up by Pharaoh’s daughter and thereby saved.
