Zechariah: I have long thought that life on earth was irrepressible. Mount S. Helen’s erupted almost 40 years ago and today all the burned-out land has brought forth vegetation. Just so, God’s love for His creation. Here in Chapter 7 we see both the bitter and the sweet. Israel’s (man’s) hardness of heart was met by God’s treating them in like fashion. In Chapter 8 we see God rescuing and reconciling with the people the promises of a much better world to come.
