Revelation: As the Book of Revelation closes, John reminds us of its opening lines: “I am the Alpha & Omega, the First and the Last (v. 13). As if to reiterate Jesus’ promises to His disciples before He ascended, “I am coming soon.” – also twice in v. 7 and again in v. 12. This is something we don’t take much to heart today, meaning when Jesus returns will He find us keeping vigil or will we be like the unprofitable servants?
