Psalms: 35

1 Corinthians: Paul’s concern for Timothy (v. 10) is probably because of his youth and that he may be unfamiliar with the Corinthians. Apollos, originally from Alexandria, Egypt, was a co-worker with Paul who was trained by Pricilla and Aquila and they, in turn, were mentored by Paul. As the letter closes, Paul’s advice is: “Be on your guard, stand firm in the faith, be men of courage, be strong. Do everything in love.

Gospel: Matthew 12:22-32

New Testament: 1 Corinthians 16:10-24

Old Testament: Ezra 3:1-13
