Meditation
1 Corinthians: Paul likes to give with one hand and take with the other. “I praise you…” (v. 2) and then “In the following directives I have no praise for you…” (v. 17) Let’s face it, praise for us is going to be limited as is unpraiseworthiness. These are not absolute (except in God). We experience the same shortcomings even in today’s Church, though our issues differ. The underlying issue here, I think, is insensitivity. They had it in Corinth; we have it today.
