Psalm: 106

Meditation

Matthew: In this passage Jesus says but one word “Go!” – a command to and permission for the demons to come out of the two men and to go into the herd of swine. This area is known to have been a Gentile region of the east side of the Sea of Galilee (or Sea of Tiberius). Why Jesus went there we do not know but it proves His desire that the gospel go into all the world (even among the “swine”). As “no good deed goes unpunished,” and because the swine were killed, Jesus was “asked” to leave that region.

Gospel: Matthew 8:28-34

New Testament: 1 Corinthians 10:14 – 11:1

Old Testament: 2 Kings 21:1-18
