Psalm: 85
Meditation
Matthew: What fun is this? The problem is that we all like to take credit for things we do or accomplish. Personally, I’m proud of my humility, probably because I don’t have any. I believe we all like to think that what we do matters but how can it matter if no one knows we’ve done it? And that is the point. God knows, you know, — not a bad lot that! Works done from gratitude don’t need recognition.
Gospel: Matthew 6:1-6, 16-18
New Testament: 1 Corinthians 6:12-20
Old Testament: 2 Kings 9:1-16
