Psalms: 91
Meditation
1 Corinthians: Here Paul gets to the crux of one of our most basic instincts – sex. He seems to think the world would be better off without it as it seems to be the fount of all immorality. He is also pragmatic – if you must have sex then you must marry and may only have sex with your spouse. Let’s face it, if Paul had his way regarding marriage, we all would have died out long ago. But it seems clear to me that marriage should be considered more of a vocation from God than a “way out”.
Gospel: Matthew 6:7-15
New Testament: 1 Corinthians 7:1-9
Old Testament: 2 Kings 9:17-37
