Meditation

Mark: Vv. 1-8 amount to the first “Sunrise Service”. These three women went to the tomb to anoint the dead – when they arrived the stone to the tomb had been removed but no body inside. The “young man” told them that Jesus had arisen. His message: “meet Me in Galilee” (v. 7), as Jesus had told them back in chapter 14:28 before He died. The ending at verse 8 serves to entice the reader to seek out what happens next.
