Meditation

1 Kings: Solomon was a very conflicted man. In his youth he had asked for and received great and godly wisdom. God also game him great wealth – so much so that he did not need God. The peace he and his kingdom enjoyed allowed Solomon to be tempted into marrying many foreign women (among 700 wives!) which, in turn, brought foreign gods into the land (yet again!). This was the snare so often spoken of in the OT.
