Meditation

Mark: This is the last Passover Jesus will celebrate in His life. Jesus is more sensitive of what’s happening than are His disciples. He says: ‘One of you will betray Me.” (v. 18) I suspect there were more present in the “upper room” than 13 men. Each one asks Jesus, “Is it I?” Next, Jesus says something curious: “It is one of the twelve.” (v. 20) This strikes me as curious because if only the 13 were present then why would He say “one of the 12”? and not just “one of you”?
