Psalm: 106

Meditation

Mark: Why curse the fig tree? A fig tree cannot do anything right or wrong except to become useless like salt with no saltiness. The tree was not fulfilling its promise. The promise of the tree was in its leaves. After Jesus cursed the tree, it withered (immediately as Matthew records it in 21:18-20). Anyone approaching a withered tree will not expect to find fruit on it.

Gospel: Mark 11:12-26

New Testament: Acts 22:30 – 23:11

Old Testament: 2 Samuel 17:24 – 18:8
