Mark: For many people this is a difficult passage: the question of divorce. Today, unfortunately, even Christians tend to be cavalier about marriage. Perhaps Jesus didn’t mean what He said. That is a very dangerous thought because then we may second-guess everything He said. The next paragraph shows Our Lord welcoming children and He also delivers a warning. The disciples were discouraging parents from bringing their children to Jesus. On the other hand, Jesus wants to bless the children and was “indignant” with the disciples for discouraging the kids.
