Psalms: 22

Meditation

Mark: Mark’s gospel is the shortest and perhaps lighter on details. This is a “no frills” report on the healing of a blind man, Bartimaeus, by name. Here, Jesus simply says “Go, your faith has healed you.” Immediately… In another gospel an unnamed blind man had to wash out the mud made by Jesus in order then to see. The point in that story was that Jesus was “working” on the Sabbath day (as well the blind man). So, Jesus needs no prop to heal – no surprise there.

Gospel: Mark 10:46-52

New Testament: Acts 21:37 – 22:16

Old Testament: 2 Samuel 15:19-37
