Mark: ”Jesus did not want anyone to know where they were, because He was teaching His disciples.” Jesus is slowly making His was to Jerusalem for a rendezvous with His death, so I imagine He had many “last minute” things to talk to His disciples about. First off, He tells them He will be betrayed and killed and after 3 days He will rise. Next, He asks them that embarrassing question “What were you talking about along the road?” Who’s the greatest? And finally, he who is not against is for us.
