Psalms: 51:1-17
Meditation
Acts: Paul was a troublemaker. When in Thessalonica he had challenged the Jews therewith the gospel explaining that Jesus was the Christ and then backed it up with the Scripture (only the Old Testament). The Jews then formed a mob and started a riot. The Romans were skittish about riots for they portended revolt – no one wanted that. The Jews grabbed Jason and other believers and brought them to the city magistrate and put them jail for the night. Their reasoning? “These men who have caused trouble all over the world have now come here.” (v. 6) That was not a new accusation.
Gospel: Mark 7:24-37
New Testament: Acts 17:1-15
Old Testament: 2 Samuel 5:1-12
