Meditation
Acts: Antioch (Syria), at least this time the writer (Luke) was clearer. The context tells us that Judaizes (those who require circumcision among other things (had infiltrated the church in Antioch causing great stress among the congregants. The Apostles and elders wrote a letter to the Antiochian church to assure these Gentile believers that they be not burdened with Jewish legal requirements. This is similar to the vision that Peter had when he saw the sheet filled with unclean foods when the Lord told hi to slay and eat. (See Acts 10:9-16)
