Acts: Let’s agree that Saul was spiritually blind on his way to Damascus. Here the metaphorical and reality meet: Saul was struck physically blind as a result of his encounter with Jesus. The Lord then tells Ananias to go to Saul and to place his hands on him to restore his sight. Like Moses, when the LORD tells him to go to Egypt to release the Hebrews from bondage, Ananias launches into his own excuses of why he should not go intimating that Jesus must be mistaken.
