Psalm: 109

Meditation

Luke: We, today, operate at some disadvantage. We can’t go to a time when we did not know the glorious end of this story. Jesus tells His disciples at the Passover meal, where He has just instituted the Lord’s Supper, that one of them will betray Him. We find it quite incredulous that anyone could do such a thing, but Jesus had a history of stripping away veneers and rubbing people raw. The disciples looked at each other with perhaps suspicion or guilt. Each may have been guilty.

Gospel: Luke 22:14-23

New Testament: Acts 6:1-15

Old Testament: 1 Samuel 7:2-17
