Psalm: 74

Meditation

Luke: In the section just before this one, Jesus said: “Let’s go over to the other side of the lake.” (v. 23) The lake is the Lake of Galilee, but Luke identifies it as Lake Gennesaret (Ch. 5:1) – which is a predominantly Gentile area. I have often wondered why Jesus went there. He only says two things while there and yet He left the whole land in upheaval. As stated above, these were Gentiles and pigs  were a source of revenue to these Gentile people.

Gospel: Luke 8:26-39

New Testament: Romans 14:1-12

Old Testament: Daniel 10:10-21
