Hebrews: According to the writer of Hebrews, Jesus learned obedience through suffering and was thus made perfect through it. Suffering is something we just don’t like. The writer goes on to tell us that we must not be slow to learn but rather, like Ezekiel and John to “eat the scroll” (word). Remember: “Man does not live by bread alone but by every word out of the mouth of God.” (Deuteronomy 8:3)
