Deuteronomy: For 40 years the Israelites wandered in the desert (wilderness) not knowing where their next meal was coming from. Thing is, the food provided was for each day and no more. The faithless would hoard “extra” only to learn that any food left overnight would then spoil. This is why Jesus, in the Lord’s Prayer prayed “give us this day our daily bread” (Matt. 6:11) (italics mine)
