Psalm: 57

Meditation

Psalm 57: The superscription (that portion above verse 1) tells us that David wrote this psalm in a cave while being pursued by a maniacal King Saul hell-bent on killing him. Saul wanted his son Jonathan to become the next king, but the LORD had already chosen His own man: David. David is confident that the LORD will rescue him from death; He has so often before. Believe that the LORD hears you when you’re in distress and then watch and expect.

Gospel: Luke 7:36-50

New Testament: Colossians 3:18 – 4:18

Old Testament: Daniel 9:16-19
