Meditation

1 John: Much is mentioned of love in this passage. This is not the Danielle Steel kind of romantic love. Love is here defined as God sending His Son to be an atoning sacrifice for us – nothing in it for God. His kind of love is the type that gives a person the strength to lay down his life for someone else. It is heroic and we greatly admire that kind of heroism. In that respect, Jesus is, among other things, our hero as well as our savior.
