Isaiah: Isaiah sounds like he’s prophesying of John’s “Revelation”. This is a veiled image of the restored earth. Of particular note is v. 8: death will be swallowed up forever – that actually began at Jesus’ Resurrection. This image is also cited by Paul in 1 Cor. 15. And He will wipe away all tears from all faces. (See. Rev. 21:4)
