1 Corinthians: This is the day we remember as the institution of the Lord’s Supper (or Holy Eucharist) at the Passover meal. This is also a rather vivid reminder always to give thanks to God for the good and the perceived evil. It also reminds us of the cost of our redemption – the very body and blood of Jesus.  Paul urges us to examine ourselves before partaking.
