Psalm: 31, 95

Meditation

Deuteronomy: This passage is rife with “fear”. I hope we all know that this type of “fear” is borne of deep knee bending respect and not a form of terror of which God is so often falsely accused. Too much today, respect (fear) for God is more in the nature of lip-service: “The LORD says: ‘These people come near to me with their mouth and honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me.” (Isaiah 29:13)

Gospel: John 3:22-36

New Testament: Hebrews 4:11-16

Old Testament: Deuteronomy 10:12-22
