Consider Isaiah 38:1-6. Hezekiah, king of Judah, became ill and was at the point of death, Isaiah the prophet went to him and said, “This is what the LORD says: Put your house in order, because you are going to die; you will not recover.” This only means we don’t have the promise of tomorrow. Hezekiah turned to the wall and wept and prayed for mercy. Alas, God showed mercy and added 15 years to Hezekiah’s life.
