Isaiah: The resting place for the LORD has gone through several metamorphoses. From a tent to a Temple (which was destroyed) to the second Temple made grudgingly, and finally being resurrected as one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, aka Herod’s Temple. It was a marvel but barely lasted a single generation for the Romans destroyed it along with everything and virtually everyone in Jerusalem in 70 A.D. Jesus answers God’s question (Isaiah 66:1) in John 4 in His conversation with the woman at the well “Neither here (Samaria) nor in Jerusalem but in the Spirit (i.e., anywhere)
