Galatians: The tenor of this book has been an exhortation against returning to the law as a means of salvation. Notice the language used: bewitched” (3:1) “foolish” (also 3:1); astonished (1:6). Paul comes off as frustrated and fears he may have wasted his time with these people. I can’t get it out of my head that if one offers someone something free there must be strings (or conditions) attached. Yes that is frustrating – just say “thank You” and be grateful.
