Psalms: 42, 43

Meditation

“But when the time had fully come, God sent His Son, born of a woman born under the law … “(v. 4) The Father had chosen the perfect time to send His Son – Who was born under the law. Here we get a glimpse of how obedient Jesus was – He submitted to the law yet without sin. He lived and grew up in Nazareth a “backwater” community tucked away in Galilee – no fanfare there. God deemed it wiser to leave just a sketch of what the Messiah would look like which may explain why the Jews thought there were two Messiahs: a suffering Servant and a victorious King.

Gospel: Mark 7:24-37

New Testament: Galatians 4:1-11

Old Testament: Isaiah 51:17-23
