Psalm: 83

Meditation

Isaiah: The rules of uncleanness may well have lent an air of arrogance to the Jews for all foreigners were “unclean” in that even if they wanted to, they could not worship on the Holy Mount. Likewise those with deformities also were excluded. It seems fairly obvious that some parts of Scripture are weightier than others. If we accept what the LORD spoke through Isaiah, our status as the “chosen people” might be brought into question. This is proof that “He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish but that everyone to come to repentance.” (2 Peter 3:9)

Gospel: Mark 9:2-13

New Testament: Galatians 5:16-24

Old Testament: Isaiah 56:1-8
